Senior Accountant
This position will report to the Assistant Accounting Manager (Team Lead) work closely with a team of accountants to manage financial functions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and tax audits. The ideal candidate should bear 3 to 8 years’ experience. The candidate is a “hands-on” good strategic thinker with exceptional analytical talent.
Duties and responsibilities

Analyze transactions and record journal entries by following accounting standard.

Evaluate tax accounting consequences of tax planning strategies including withholding tax, VAT, Specific Business Tax, Excise Tax, Corporate Income Tax and Personal income tax.

Year-end closing and month end closing, including preparing and analyzing the financial statement.

Responsible for the daily follow up for all types of entries journal, A/P, A/R.

Tax submission and verify monthly tax submission (PP30,36) and withholding tax (PND1,3,53, 54).

Prepare Tax Returns and file forms annually (P.N.D.50 and P.N.D.51).

Supervise and review work of junior accountants and provide appropriate feedback/guidance.

Reconciles bank statements on a monthly basis.

Contact Revenue department or other government office.

Advise on tax procedure and accounting information to clients.
Skills and qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required (Master’s preferred).

Proactive, open, outspoken, ambitious person / Self-motivation and discipline.

Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks in a short time.

Knowledge about Statutory accounting standards and policies.

Knowledge in tax and compliance.

Client-centered focus and willingness to deliver service proactively.

Having experience in XERO program and Accounting Firm will be advantage.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

CPD License register (CPA certified is a plus).

Ability to work independently and exercise proper judgment.
