We are hiring
Senior Accountant
This position reports to the Assistant Accounting Manager (team lead) and works closely with a team of accountants on financial functions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and tax audits. The ideal candidate has 3 to 8 years of experience, is hands-on, thinks strategically and has strong analytical skills.
Duties and responsibilities
- Analyze transactions and record journal entries in line with accounting standards.
- Assess the tax consequences of transactions and tax planning, including withholding tax, VAT, specific business tax, excise tax, corporate income tax and personal income tax.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing, including preparing and analyzing the financial statements.
- Follow up daily on all journal entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and review monthly tax filings: VAT (PP 30, PP 36) and withholding tax (PND 1, 3, 53, 54).
- Prepare and file the annual and half-year corporate income tax returns (PND 50 and PND 51).
- Supervise and review the work of junior accountants, and give them feedback and guidance.
- Reconcile bank statements every month.
- Deal with the Revenue Department and other government offices.
- Advise clients on tax procedures and accounting matters.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (master’s degree preferred).
- Proactive, open, ambitious and self-motivated, with good discipline.
- Able to work in a team and handle several tasks under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Thai financial reporting standards and accounting policies.
- Knowledge of Thai tax and compliance.
- Client-focused and willing to take the initiative.
- Experience with Xero or in an accounting firm is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Registered for continuing professional development (CPD) as an accountant; a Thai CPA license is a plus.
- Able to work independently and use good judgment.
Junior Accountant
This position reports to the Senior Accountant and the Assistant Accounting Manager (team lead) and works closely with a team of accountants on financial functions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and tax audits. The ideal candidate has 0 to 3 years of experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day accounting: accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
- Post accounting transactions in the accounting software.
- Prepare month-end closing and monthly balance sheet reconciliations for small companies.
- Prepare withholding tax returns (PND 2, 3, 53, 54 and PP 36) and VAT returns (PP 30).
- Record general accounting transactions and keep the data in the system accurate.
- Coordinate with other teams to deliver accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports on time.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by your supervisor and manager.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- New graduates welcome; 0 to 3 years of accounting experience.
- Proactive, open, ambitious and self-motivated, with good discipline.
- Able to work in a team and handle several tasks under tight deadlines.
- Learns quickly.
